Cross River Rail is an underground railway project beneath the Brisbane River and CBD consisting of four new underground stations located at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, and Roma Street.
The new underground stations are interconnected by a 5.9 kilometre span of twin tunnels which Tunnel Boring Machines have recently completed.
The 5.4 billion dollar project is being constructed by CPB contractors in joint venture with BAM International, Ghella, and UGL and is a Queensland Government owned asset.
Rabone Systems has been engaged to provide the multimillion-dollar PAVA & HAL scope that will deliver platform and station announcements
as well as emergency warning alerts to the underground stations and tunnel infrastructure.
The PAVA head-end infrastructure will be built using Biamp’s Vocia platform. Developed right here in Brisbane, the Vocia life safety

The solution is flexible and and will meet the need of the expanding network as well as bringing the latest technology advancements into public infrastructure.
